Are you having bluetooth problems on your iPhone after iOS 18 update?

Try this first
- Make sure that Bluetooth is enabled on your iPhone. To turn onBluetooth: head over to Settings > Bluetooth.
- Ensure that your Bluetooth accessory is turned on and plugged in (or charged). If it uses batteries, ensure its batteries are good.
- Ensure that your iPhone and your accessory are close to each other, within a range of five feet. Bring your iOS 18 device closer to the Bluetooth accessory to see if this helps.
- ensure that your iPhone is running the latest version of iOS 18. You can update your device easily. In addition, try to update your accessory’s firmware. Does your accessory have an upgradeable firmware? Ensure that it’s running the latest firmware. Check with the device manufacturer.
- Ensure that your Bluetooth accessory supports Bluetooth and is compatible with your iOS device
- Make sure your accessory is discoverable. If you don’t know how to do this, reach out to the manufacturer.
- On your iPhone, turn off Bluetooth and wait 10 seconds and turn it back on. Head over to Settings > Bluetooth).
- If you had previously paired this device, on your iPhone, head over to Settings > Bluetooth. Look for the accessory in your devices list. If it’s saying “Not Connected,” Tap its name to try to reconnect.
- If your accessory has a Bluetooth setting, try to turn off Bluetooth and then turn it back on.
- Restart your iPhone. Here is how you can restart your iPhone
- iPhone XR, iPhone 11, iPhone 12, iPhone 13, iPhone 14, iPhone 15 or newer: hold down the power (side) and volume up or down buttons at the same time until the power off slider appears. Now, drag the onscreen slider. Wait until your device is completely turned off. Then hold down the power button until the Apple logo appears.
- iPhone SE (2nd or 3rd generation). Press and hold the power button (side) until you see the power off slider then drag the slider. And hold down the power button until you see the Apple logo.
- Restart your Bluetooth accessory. If you do not know how to do this, consult its user manual.
- If you are using an app with your Bluetooth accessory, ensure that the app is given access to your device’s Bluetooth. On your iPhone, head over to Settings > Privacy & Security > Bluetooth and enable the App. Also consider contacting its developer for further help.
- Remove the old Bluetooth connection. Then reconnect afresh. Simply follow these steps:
- Unpair your accessory. On your iPhone, head over to Settings > Bluetooth. Under the My Devices list, look for the device that you are experiencing problems with. Tap on the (i) icon and tap on Forget This Device.
- Ensure that your accessory is discoverable. And on your device, go to Settings > Bluetooth. And stay on this screen. And then follow the onscreen Prompts to pair and reconnect. When asked, enter a PIN code.
- Remove your case (if there is) from your iPhone to see if this helps.
- Reset your network settings. On your iPhone, head over to Settings > General > Transfer or Reset iPhone > Reset > Reset Network Settings. And follow the onscreen prompts . Please Keep in mind, doing so will delete previously connected Wi-Fi networks and passwords, and your other network settings.
