iPhone not Connecting to Car Radio Using Bluetooth, Fix

Can’t connect your iPhone with your car stereo via Bluetooth?

A number of users have reported that they are unable to connect with the iPhone from Bluetooth car audio systems.

Here are the reported problems:

  • iPhone would connect for phone calls but not for music
  • Can’t pair your iPhone with your car
  • Can’t use handsfree functions
  • Bluetooth is not working as expected

If you are experiencing this problem, you may see one or more of the following error messages:

  • Network error
  • iPhone stopped
  • Can’t connect

iPhone won’t connect to car radio? fix

Please try these fixes if you are unable to pair iPhone with car Bluetooth:

  1. On your iPhone, ensure that Bluetooth is on. Go to Settings > Bluetooth
  2. On your iPhone, head over to Settings > Bluetooth and turn off Bluetooth then turn it back on.
  3. Restart your iOS device.
  4. Restart your car’s audio system
  5. Update your iPhone. Head over to Settings > General > Software Update. And if an update is available, download and install.
  6. Clear your car’s old Bluetooth connection from your iPhone and then rediscover it. Start the settings app and go to Bluetooth and tap the Information
    (i) icon Now, tap Forget This Device. Then try to connect again.
  7. Force restart your iPhone: Simply press and hold the Sleep/Wake and the Home buttons together until the Apple logo appears.
  8. Try using another apple device (such as your iPad). If you can connect this new device successfully, this means that your iPhone is the culprit, therefore
    Try the next solutions. If you cannot pair this device as well, that means the problem is with your car’s stereo.
  9. Reset Network Settings: Simply head over to Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings. Keep in mind, this will reset all your network settings, Also, your
    Wi-Fi passwords will be erased.
  10. If the above did not fix your problem,
    contact Apple.
    Also, consider contacting the manufacturer of your car stereo.
