Some iPhones Won’t Charge in iOS 15

If you’ve got an iPhone 11 or iPhone 12 , you might encounter some charging problems with iOS 15.

Simply put, it sounds like there are times when these models of phones simply won’t charge. The reason for this is unknown, but it seems to be a simple software issue that will probably be fixed in the near future.

However, there’s a way to fix it before then. As long as you make sure that you see the charging symbol and hear a beep when you put your lightning cable in, then you’re fine. Otherwise, don’t trust that your phone is charging.

What to do?

Dealing with a phone that has stopped charging can be extremely frustrating. But do not worry. You may easily fix it. If your phone refuses to charge the battery, here is what you can do:

  1. Is your iPhone plugged in? Yes, this is pretty obvious but check anyway. Make sure that your iPhone is plugged in properly and it is connected to a power source. Furthermore, make sure that you hook up everything as it should be. Check each contact. There should be only a very minimal wiggle room.
  2. Inspect your cables and adapter. Make sure that you are using the charging accessories that came with the iPhone.
Alternatively, make sure that your accessories are Apple certified. You may see a “This Accessory Is Not Supported By This Device” message.
    In addition, make sure that:
your cable or adapter are not damaged. If it’s faulty, do not use the damaged accessories. Use another cable or adapter.
  3. Check the power source. It is possible that your iPhone or your cable and adapter may not be faulty, the problem may be the power outlet. You may want to plug your iPhone to a different power source:
If you’re trying to charge from the wall, try even a different socket. Make sure that the wall outlet is not faulty.
If you’re charging from a USB port, plug your iPhone to a different port and if the problem persist, plug your device directly into a wall socket.
  4. Is your charging port dirty? One of the causes of your iPhone’s charging problem in iOS 15 is dust, lint, and debris. It is possible that this dust and dirt can prevent the connector from establishing an electrical connection. This means that it is possible the lightning port may be clogged. This can cause your charger port to stop working. Try cleaning out the port with a toothpick, and then try charging your iPhone again.
  5. Is wireless charging not working? If wireless charging is not working, please do the following:
If your iPhone has a thick case, take it off.
Place your iPhone in the middle of the charger.
Ensure that your wireless charger is properly plugged to a power source.
  6. Check for updates. make sure that your iPhone is running the latest version of iOS 15. Updating your iPhone is easy.
Head to Settings > General > Software Update. If there is an update available, follow the onscreen prompts to install the updates on your iPhone.

Are you losing cellular service on your iPhone in areas you’ve previously had signal?

This issue doesn’t impact all users, but it has been reported on Apple’s forums multiple times with very similar circumstances, where it limits your phone’s signal more than before you upgraded the software.

What to do?

Furthermore, even if your carrier is not experiencing outages, it is possible that your wireless service is suspended or even canceled. Contact your current cellular network provider.

If this is the case, Apple fixes these bugs quickly. So simply update your iPhone to the latest version of iOS. Go to Settings > General > Software Update. There is a hole beside the tray
Using a paper clip, push in and open the TrayRemove SIM and Insert
    Remove the SIM card
Check your SIM card, does it look damaged. If it is damaged, contact your current carrier fort further support. Does it look dirty. If it is dirty, you may want to clean with a clean lint-free cloth.
If it is not damaged, place the SİM in the tray and insert the tray back in.
    Turn on your phone
  6. Reset network settings: To do this, you should head to the Settings app, tap on General, tap on Transfer or Reset iPhone, select reset and then tap on Reset Network Settings. Be aware that this will mean your phone forgets your Wi-Fi passwords, but it may be worth that small annoyance to try to fix the issue.
