Conclusion
We trust one or a combination of these fixes worked for you and your iPhone is no longer connected to Wi-Fi but no Internet. Which trick worked for you? Let us know in the comments section below.
#4 worked for me- thank you
none of of 1-9 worked but i dont want to delete my data what do i do.
#11 was the fix for me
#4 worked for me as well.
#7 worked for me, which was a huge relief after previously trying almost all of the others. I didn’t;’t know the VPN could be a problem – not intuitive! Thanks!
None worked for me!! This is so terrible, iPhone nor iPad can keep my Internet going even though wifi is “on”. Please someone fix this!
Nothing worked, I’m starting to think that I was hacked with some sort of virus??
so i got an iphone 11 a few weeks ago all of my streaming apps sometimes just randomly don’t work. everyone in my home thinks it’s an issue with my speakers or that our wireless plan isn’t compatible with the iphone 11 but it does this even without headphones in and my dad has an iphone 11 that works perfectly. i tried most of these (not the reset stuff it’s too risky in my opinion) but none worked. please help me!!
Did not do a factory reset but nothing else worked. Why won’t FB and Google just pick up cellular network (all settings to do so are correct) if it thinks there is no internet (all other apps are fine).
None have worked for me. I show as connected to the WiFi when I go into WiFi, but am still on LTE on my main screen. I can connect to the internet through most apps, but some (like Facebook) say no internet connection.
SAME HERE!
None of this worked for me. After months, called iPhone support. Apparently some dumb adblocker app I’d installed 2 years ago was secretly gumming up the works with EVERYTHING. Got rid of it and all my apps now connect to the internet, my GPS talks out loud, my phone will hang up on calls when I want it to and not when I don’t… That tech support call was definitely time well spent.
None of this worked for me including #10!
OMG THANK YOU SO MUCH, I deleted my adblocker and suddenly my wifi was working again.
I was about to reset my phone completely when I saw this. My ad blocker was what was causing this issue with my phone. Thank you.
Tried all but #10. I am not erasing all pics, contacts and doc’s stored on my phone. Appreciate the fix efforts. Guess I’ll call Apple help and see if they have a solution for it. By the way what ever it is, I had it on my old phone and the folks at Best Buy said my phone was the problem. It transferred to my new phone.
I went to the Verizon store and the guy found that the VPN that we have on our network was blocking the internet! Removed it from my phone and all is well.
Thank you so much. I went into the Verizon security and deleted the VPN. OMG! YOU deserve a medal!!!!!
#7 worked for me who knew the vpn could cause so much trouble. thank you!
i have iphone 12 and a few weeks ago my wifi stopped connecting to the internet. orange writing just underneath the wifi network. Tried all fixes 1 – 9 nothing worked. All other devices in the house connect without any trouble including apple and android.
Bought another brand new iphone 12 into the wifi environment and same issue. OK!
tried connecting to another wifi network and all ok !
so im thinking issue is compatability between iphone 12 and wifi router. ( remember its the iphone 12 only) Apple help only also suggests the 1-9 actions
Any suggestions ?…………….
I have this exact issue with my iPhone 12. Yesterday it worked fine on wifi and today I get the no internet message, while all other devices work just fine. If I forget the network and reconnect it works for about 10 seconds before disconnecting again.
iPhone 12 and having the same and exact issue. It’s so frustrating.
Have you guys figured anything out with this? My iPhone 11 has been doing the same thing for almost two weeks now.. won’t work on my home internet (which it has for over a year and all other devices are working on the wifi) and it works fine on other wifi. I have tried everything short of doing a full reset for obvious reasons.
My issue resolved once I shut off the vpn (in settings somewhere)
thanks #7 works million thanks
none of them works on my son’s iphone 8 plus. found out the date/time was different. it was changed to year 1970!
after set time correctly, voila!
Thank you! That did the trick!
Thanks so much, mine was also set to 1970!
My issue is that this only happens on my home wifi. I can connect to other wifi sources but not at home. I’ve restarted the router many times, what else can I do?
I’ve tried everything except no. 10 (Reset your iPhone). The only thing that works for me, at least temporarily, is no. 1 (Turn OFF/ON Wi-Fi on Phone); however, as I said, this is just a temporary fix. When I want to use my iPhone later, I have the same problem (Wi-Fi is connected but the Internet is not working) This happens constantly. Is there a permanent solution or do I have to keep turning off/on Wi-Fi?
#7 worked for me
Thankssss
Try this…worked for me.
Open the Settings app, then tap Wi-Fi.
Tap the information button next to a network.
Tap to turn Private Address OFF. If your device joined the network without using a private address, a privacy warning explains why.
This worked for me. Thank you
Resset DNS worked for me only
Configure DNL -> switch to Manual
delete DNS Servers (All)
switch back to Automatic (DNS Addresses was changed)
I tried them all and one of them worked….but I’m not sure which one. Lol
Hello Billy,
Great it worked for you :)
Nord vpn was what was causing my problems. I couldn’t switch it off from settings. I had to go into the app and disconnect from there. Thankyou.
Thank you all who listed the VPN. I delete my VPN settings and it WORKED!!! Do this first guys and save yourself hours!
I echo the comment(s) above. After a week of battling my iPhone SE (Gen 1) wifi connect issue, buying another refurbished iPhone SE with same problem, I deleted my VPN (in use for years) and Voila! Works now! Thank you guys for your suggestion on this fix!!
It was #11! After trying Everything, all it took was telling the phone to auto set the time and date. Crazy!
I tried everything with no luck, until 11, shockingly, that’s all it took was turning the automatic time zone on and it instantly connected to the internet, amazing article, saved me a trip to the Apple store
number 5 worked
It was conflicting vpn apps in my case! That is a whole evening I shall never get back- but at least all is now well.
It was the VPN one, SO RELIEVED.
deleted my VPN and it started right up no problem try this first cause none of the above worked. How go to setting to general scroll down to VPN click on survey and hit delete worked perfectly for me
Thank you! This worked for me instantly.
It worked for me when I changed the phone date to actual. It was set default as Jan 1 1970 :D. LoL
I worked through these in sequence – no joy until #9, but it did the trick! Thanks for posting these fixes.
Try to turn off private address inside connected wifi details. It helps me with my iPhone 14.1
We had to delete the VPN app. Everything worked again within a second.
#5 worked for my iPhone 11 Pro. Thanks!
Thanks for all the info it was my VPN too!!
#7 – Except the phone wasn’t signed into my VPN service. Once I logged back into my VPN service, everything worked. So, I suppose, if I didn’t want to use that particular VPN service any longer, then deleting that app probably would have fixed the issue. All good now!
VPN was. The culprit. Thanks
How to forget a network on iPad, I’m struggling to disconnect a wifi network, it shows unable to disconnet.
Turning off the Location Services, and then turning it back on fixed it for my iPhone. Thank you, didn’t see that suggestion anywhere else..!
Number 7 work for me.
Thanks a lot
I’ve tried this all #1#2#3#4#7#8#9 & it all didn’t work!
But then i try switch off my wifi modem or router for last time & it work. Wishing for others who face the same problem can solve the problem immediately. I’ll pray the best
