Is your iPhone’s vibration not working after iOS 16 update? Many users have complained that their iPhone is not vibrating in ring or doesn’t vibrate while on silent. In this article, I’ll will show you how you can easily fix vibration not working problem on iPhone after the new iOS 16 update.

How to fix vibration not working after iOS 16 update

Make sure vibration is enabled on your iPhone

Before trying other troubleshooting steps, you need to make sure vibration is turned on. Open the settings app on your iPhone. Scroll down and tap on accessibility. Now, tap touch and make sure the vibration is toggled on. This should fix the issue if your phone is not vibrating in ring or while on silent.

Check if the vibration setting is set up correctly

If your iOS 16 device is not vibrating after trying the above step, make sure the vibration Setting is set correctly. Open the settings app and tap on sounds & haptics. Scroll down and make sure play haptics in ring mode and play haptics in silent mode are turned on.

Change the vibration pattern

If your iOS 16 device is not vibrating after trying the above solutions, make sure you’ve selected a vibration pattern. Go to Settings > Sounds & Haptics. Tap ringtone > vibration. You will see various patterns. Select the one you like and it should fix the vibration issue you are facing on your iOS 16 device.

Take off your iPhone case

If you’re using a magnetic cover on your iPhone, it can cause problem with vibration. Remove the cover and it should fix the problem.

Disable Do Not Disturb and low power mode

If do not disturb mode or low power mode is turned on on your iOS 16 device, then your vibration might not work. Make sure to turn them off. Swipe down from the top right of your screen to bring up the control center. Tap on Focus. Now, tap on do not disturb to turn it off. Next, open settings and then scroll down to battery. Turn off low power mode and it should fix vibration not working on iOS 16 problem.

Force restart your iPhone

Sometimes vibration not working after iOS 16 update problem can happen due to some minor software glitch. Give your iPhone a force restart and it should fix the issue. Press and quickly release the volume up button. Press and quickly release the volume down button. Press and hold the side button until the Apple logo appears on the screen.

Reset all iPhone Settings

If nothing else work, it’s time to reset all settings on your iPhone. This problem can happen due to some settings malfunction that can be fixed by performing a reset. Open the settings app on your iPhone. Scroll down and tap general. Go to transfer or reset iPhone. Now, tap reset and then tap reset all settings. Tap reset all settings again. Your iPhone will auto restart and all the customized settings will be erased. Don’t worry, this step won’t erase any of your photos, videos or contacts. It should fix your iPhone’s vibration problem.

Repair option

If non if the above solutions worked, then your iPhone may be having a hardware problem. You need to take it to an authorized apple service center for repair.
