Apple continues to take a huge chunk of the smart device market, and it’s clear to see how that is the case. Their devices are incredibly smart, and their operating systems offer much more than others. So, the release of iOS 15 is a huge move, while they are also gearing up to announce the release of the new iPhone too. And this means another round of changes to our lives, because all services – marketing platforms, even social media, giants will implement new features due to said update.

If you’ve upgraded your operating system from iOS 14 to iOS 15, then you’re in for a treat because you don’t have long to wait. Despite this, what do you get?

Enhanced Facetime

Facetime is an excellent feature that has been extremely useful over the last 18 months of living through a pandemic. Compared to all other video communication services, Facetime with iOS comes with a simplified approach, making it easier to bring people together. This is particularly useful if you’re someone who loves chatting to friends and family or you are into online dating. Let’s be honest, meeting people at online dating sites for the first time can seem daunting because you don’t know if they are who they say they are, but Facetime can take the pain away from that, which means you could find it easier to connect with singles here!

Facetime comes with enhanced visual features and audio while it also blocks out surrounding noise, making for a better connection and experience.

SharePlay

This is a completely new feature, but it’s a great option for bringing people together to share media. While the concept is nothing new, of course, Apple seems to add some shine to their technological advancements and offer something more. SharePlay is the perfect solution for online dating and long-distance relationships at a time of the pandemic because you and your partner can watch films and TV shows together and even share music, making it feel like you are on a remote date. Want to know what you can watch with your date with this feature? You’ll have a huge selection of movies from Apple TV, and no worries, it supports a range of services such as Disney and Netflix.

Messaging

Group chat is something that most of us take advantage of using many third-party pieces of software, but messaging has been improved with iOS. Now it’s easier to share several images, which is always a positive when getting to know other people while links and statuses can be added, much like WhatsApp.

Photos

Apple loves to add intelligent features to most of its features, and photos are no different. You can now explore photos in Spotlight suggestions; this enables you to search for someone specific. There is also a feature called Memories, whereby you can view slideshows of photos with added music, giving you a great opportunity to look back over those shots you’ve taken. Want to share an important life moment with your friend? Now it’s even easier, as your iPhone will offer you some pictures, suggesting what to show other people.

Apple Wallet

Apple Wallet is by no means a new addition; after all, it’s something that many people use to cover the cost of their online subscription or to pay for a meal online. Despite this, they have introduced something completely new, which is known as CarKey. There is nothing to hide here as it clearly enables people to unlock their car using their device – perfect for impressing your friends. You will also have the opportunity to add additional cards in some areas, including your driving license.

Safari

Safari is the popular browser introduced by Apple many years ago, and it’s still going strong. However, it’s been completely redesigned, and you now have the opportunity to sync up your macOS extensions and bookmarks with your device. This is great news for those who use their bookmarks to store their favorite websites, as you can instantly switch over between devices to take advantage of their adaptive design!

In a completely new change, the address bar has been switched to the bottom of the screen. The home screen is also completely new, and that can be customized to the point where you add your own photos (or pictures of your friends which is incredibly sweet). Buttons have been hidden to create a more streamlined appearance making it a pretty slick upgrade.

Notifications

Notifications are something that many of us use. Whether you’re someone who likes to be kept informed of messages from friends, family, or even updates from your favorite blogs, notifications keep your finger on the pulse. It’s now easier to manage your notifications with a Do Not Disturb feature on offer. The entire feature is being underpinned by intelligence which is making for a better experience for users.

Weather App

We all like to know what the weather is doing today, tomorrow, or next week and the Weather App has been improved to offer just that. It uses Dark Sky and maps that have high resolution while you will also be notified of rain or other changes to the weather in your area, so manage your online activities according to the forecast.

All in all, Apple has made some serious improvements here, which guarantees a better experience for users.
