How to Force Restart iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus

To force restart an iPhone 7 or iPhone 7 Plus, perform the following three easy steps.

  1. Hold down the Volume Down button on the left side of the device and the Sleep/Wake button on the right side of the device simultaniously.
  2. Now, hold down the two buttons for about 10 seconds until the screen turns dark and an Apple logo shows up on the screen.
  3. Release the buttons and wait while you iPhone restarts.

Alternatively, you can hold down the Sleep/Wake or Side button on the device to bring up a screen that will allow you to power down your iPhone completely. The same option

Lastly, if you launch the Settings app and head over to the General area, you can scroll down to the bottom and tap on the “Shut Down” option.
