To do this: head over to Settings > Notifications and select the app that you are not seeing its notifications, for instance, Messages, then switch off “Show in History”.
  4. Restart your iPhone or iPad. Doing so may resolve your issue. To turn off your device, head over to  Settings > General> Shut Down. After your device is turned off completely, simply press and hold the power button to turn on your device.
  5. Toggle off and on Notifications for a specific app, Messages, FaceTime, Mail etc, that is not working properly. Head over to Settings > Notifications > Select the app and toggle off “Allow Notifications” and wait for about 20 seconds and then turn it back on.
  6. Finally, ensure that Do Not Disturb is turned off. To do this, head over to Settings > Do Not Disturb.
