How to use Weather widgets on iPhone

Use Weather widgets to check the forecast and other weather conditions at a glance on your iPhone Home Screen. You can choose from a variety of widget sizes and displays when you add a widget to your Home Screen.

You can change the location a Weather widget displays by searching for a city or choosing one from your list, and you can even add more than one Weather widget to check conditions in different locations. It’s also possible to put Weather widgets on your iPhone Lock Screen.

Quick tip: Add more than one Weather widget to your Home Screen, and you’ll see weather conditions and forecasts in different locations at a glance.

Change the location shown in the Weather widget

On your iPhone Home Screen, you can change the location a Weather widget displays.

  1. Add a widget to your Home Screen.
  2. Touch and hold the Weather widget on your Home Screen.
  3. Tap Edit Weather or Edit Stack.
  4. Tap My Location and then search for a city or tap a location from your list that you want to display.
  5. Tap the screen outside the widget to return to your iPhone Home Screen.

Display conditions at locations significant to you

Weather widgets can display conditions at locations significant to you.

  1. Turn on severe weather notifications when you set up notifications.
  2. Set up a widget stack with Smart Rotate and Widget Suggestions turned on.

You can also put Weather widgets on your iPhone Lock Screen.
