Thankfully, the solutions to fix the app crashing after macOS Monterey problem are rather straightforward.

Although problems with apps can happen anytime, some users have reported that after upgrading to Monterey, their pages, Mail, Music, Safari or another app crash randomly. While some Mac apps crash at launch, others crash in the middle of usage. There are a couple of handy solutions you should try to fix app crashing after macOS Monterey update. In this article, we will give you some troubleshooting tips for fixing this problem.

How to Fix apps crashing on Mac after Monterey update

1. Update Apps

Outdated apps tend to face crashing and freezing issues. If apps have begun crashing and becoming unresponsive after macOS Monterey update, the first thing you should do is update them. Head to the Mac App Store and click on the Updates option in the sidebar. After that, find the apps that are crashing and update them all.

2. Force quit the crashing app

If you have an app that is not responding, you can try to force quit the app by either of the following:

  • Go to Apple menu  > Force Quit.
  • Press 3 keys at the same time: ESC, Option and Command. Select your app, then select Force Quit.

If your app has only crashed on you once, try reopening it. If it has crashed numerous times, you will likely need to take steps to solve the issue.

3. Delete And Reinstall Apps

If the above steps haven’t fixed the apps that often crash on your macOS Monterey device, you may need to reinstall the apps. To do so, locate the app in the Applications folder in Finder and drag it to the Trash. If asked, enter your administrator passcode to confirm. Once done, go to the App store, find the app again and reinstall it.

4. Restart your Mac

Try restarting your Mac to see if the problem continues.

Go to Apple menu  > Restart.

5. Check for Compatibility

If you just upgraded to Monterey, you may need to check that your app is compatible with Monterey. This won’t apply to Apple apps like Mail. Go to the app manufacturer’s website for information about compatibility. You may need to update your app, or find an alternative that is compatible with Monterey.

6. Update your Mac

Updates often have bug fixes. Even if you have recently upgraded/updated your Mac, you should make sure you have installed the latest updates.

  1. Click on Apple Logo () From Top Mac Menu.
  2. Next, click on the System Preferences option.
  3. Now, Software Update > Download and Install Latest Software on Mac.

7. Check Plug-ins or Enhancements

If your app has plug-ins or enhancements that you have installed, these may be causing the crashing problem. Try uninstalling these.

8. Check Peripheral Devices

If an app keeps crashing, it may not be the actual app you are using that is causing the problem. You should make sure your peripheral devices, such as printers, are compatible with your version of macOS. Check the device manufacturer’s website for compatibility information.

9. Reset NVRAM and PRAM

  1. Shutdown your Mac.
  2. Power on your Mac and immediately press and hold 4 keys: Option, Command, P and R. Hold for 20 seconds, then release.

10. Reset the SMC

  1. To reset the SMC, Shutdown/power off your MacBook.
  2. Press and hold 3 keys: Shift, Control and Option.
  3. Press and hold the power button, without releasing the other 3 keys.
  4. Hold all keys for 10 seconds, then release.
  5. Press the power button on your Mac.

11. Use Apple Diagnostics

Apple Diagnostics can help you diagnose problems with your Mac’s internal hardware.

  1. Disconnect any unnecessary external devices and ethernet cables.
  2. Go to Apple menu  > Restart. Immediately press and hold the D key until you see a screen with language options.
  3. Choose your language and Diagnostics will start automatically.
  4. Follow the onscreen instructions.

AirDrop lets you wirelessly send documents, photos, videos, websites, map locations, and more to a nearby Mac, iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch. It uses Bluetooth 4.x for power-efficient broadcast and discovery, and peer-to-peer Wi-Fi for swift transfer. The entire process isn’t just simple, it’s pretty secure… when it works. If you find AirDrop not working after macOS Monterey update, not discovering other Macs or iOS devices, or AirDrop won’t find a particular other device or Mac, it can be frustrating. Thankfully, there are a few things you can try to get it working! Below are nine accurate solutions to fix the problem of AirDrop not working on Monterey.

How to fix AirDrop not working on macOS Monterey

If AirDrop is not working after macOS Monterey update, try these troubleshooting techniques.

Fix #1. Restart your Mac

Restart is the first solution you should try if you find airdrop not Working on Monterey. This is particularly helpful if you have trouble sharing files from iPhone to Mac and vice versa.

To restart your Mac, click on the Apple logo at the top left corner of the screen and choose Restart from the drop-down menu. Now, check if the problem is fixed.

Fix #2. Update your Mac

If none of the techniques listed above work in fixing macOS Monterey AirDrop problem, I suspect the issue could be due to a software bug. In this case, head to System Preferences -> Software Update and download and install the latest version of macOS Monterey on your Mac.

Fix #3. Make Your Device Discoverable By Everyone

You may need to change your AirDrop settings to allow your device to be discoverable. Open Finder on your Mac. Then, click on the Go menu and choose AirDrop from the menu bar in Finder. Finally, click on the drop-down right next to “Allow me to be discovered by” and choose Everyone. Then, restart your device.

If that doesn’t work, use the menu bar at the top of your screen and select the Wi-Fi icon. Make sure it’s switched on and that you’re connected to a network. Next, do the same for Bluetooth. You can also try turning both off and on again in an attempt to reconnect.

Fix #4. Prevent Firewall from Blocking All Incoming Connections

If you have enabled the Firewall on your Mac, chances are it’s blocking the incoming connections and preventing AirDrop from working as intended on your Mac.

To check that your firewall settings allow for new connections, open the System Preferences app on your Mac, and select Security & Privacy . On the Security & Privacy page, click the lock icon in the bottom-left corner of the screen, and enter your password or use your Touch ID.

On the Firewall tab, you can either click Turn Off Firewall or click Firewall Options and, in the pop-up, uncheck the box next to Block all incoming connections , then click OK .

Fix #5. Logout and Login – iCloud

Fix #6. Tap or Click Accept on the Receiving Device

This works both ways. Unless you hit the Accept button on the device receiving the file or photo, the transfer won’t happen and you might think it’s not working. The Accept button established the AirDrop connection, so check to ensure that’s not the issue.

Fix #7. Turn Off Messages and Log In Again

If the other device is not within the range or blocked by a concrete wall, AirDrop might not work in macOS Monterey. But the problem is not with AirDrop. Make sure that the two devices are within the range – distance not greater than 30 feet (approximately 9 meters.) The closer the better.

Fix #8. Make Sure the macOS Big Sur Computer is ‘Awake’

If you’ve got ‘wake for network access’ enabled, then sleep mode won’t allow wireless communication. Ensure your Mac is awake and connected to Wi-Fi and has Bluetooth turned on. Also make sure the other device is not screen-locked.

Fix #9. What to do if macOS Monterey AirDrop still isn’t working

If you are still experiencing AirDrop issues on macOS Monterey, contact Apple Support. The following are available Apple support options:

Are you having trouble connecting to Wi-Fi networks on your Mac after updating it to macOS Monterey recently? Although connecting to Wi-Fi networks on a Mac is a fairly straightforward procedure for the most part, some users have reported issues with getting the internet to work over Wi-Fi after installing macOS Monterey. Thankfully, fixing Wi-Fi not working after Monterey update is not a big deal, courtesy of the tried and tested solution.

The most commonly reported macOS Monterey related Wi-Fi issues include: Wi-Fi not working, connection dropping frequently, won’t reliably connect to wi-fi, slow WiFi connection, or the overall network performance is lacking. This could be due to several reasons ranging from Wi-Fi router issues, to software-related problems that you may be facing on your Mac after Monterey update. Sometimes, improper DNS settings could also prevent you from accessing the internet.

If you are also facing WiFi issues after macOS Monterey update, you’ve come to the right place. Here are the steps to troubleshoot and resolve Wi-Fi issues in macOS Monterey.

Use these tips to fix macOS Monterey Wi-Fi Problems

Regardless of whether you own a MacBook, MacBook Pro, MacBook Air, Mac mini, iMac, or Mac Pro, you can follow these basic troubleshooting methods whenever you’re facing Wi-Fi problems on your macOS Monterey machine.

1. Make Sure your Mac is Up to date

Sometimes, buggy software can result in Wi-Fi connectivity issues on a Mac. Apple is usually quick to release a hotfix and address OS-related issues that have been reported by users. So, if Apple has released an update since your upgrade to Monterey, it may contain bug fixes that can fix your problem. Go to System Preferences > Software Update to look for available updates.

2. Turn Off /On Wi-Fi Network

Whenever I find the Wi-Fi network misbehaving, I soft reset the network. And I must say, it helps me fix the connection issues right away. To do that, click on the Wi-Fi menu icon at the top right corner of the screen and then turn off/ on the Wi-Fi toggle. Now, check if the problem has been fixed.

3. Forget Wi-Fi Network and Reconnect

If Wi-Fi is still not working on your macOS Monterey device, forget the Wi-Fi network and reconnect to it. To do so, click the Wi-Fi icon in your Mac’s menu bar and choose Network Preferences. After that, move to the Advanced tab. Under the Wi-Fi tab, select the network in question and click the minus sign (-). When prompted, click Remove to forget the network. Now, reconnect to the Wi-Fi network.

4. Restart your Mac

If you are still facing issues, you can restart your machine to fix the Wi-Fi problem on your macOS Monterey device. You may find this silly, but most minor software-related bugs and glitches can be resolved by simply rebooting your device.

  1. Go to Apple menu  > Shutdown.
  2. Power on your Mac.

5. Reset the Wi-Fi Router / Modem

If you’re still facing problems, it’s possible that the issue is with your Wi-Fi router or modem and not the Mac itself. Hardware or firmware-related issues with your Wi-Fi router could prevent you from accessing internet over the wireless network. However, you can try resetting your Wi-Fi router to see if it fixes the issue.

  1. Go to your modem and router. Unplug them and wait 30 seconds.
  2. Plug in your modem. Wait for it to reconnect to your ISP.
  3. Plug in and power on your router. Wait a couple of minutes to give it time to fully boot up.

6. Reset NVRAM and PRAM

For those who aren’t aware, NVRAM or Non-Volatile Random Access Memory is a small amount of memory utilized by your Mac to store certain settings for quick access. Resetting your Mac’s NVRAM is typically considered an effective troubleshooting method when your system is misbehaving.

  1. Shutdown your Mac.
  2. Power on your Mac and immediately press and hold 4 keys: Option, Command, P and R. Hold for 20 seconds, then release.

7. Reset the SMC

Resetting your Mac’s System Management Controller (SMC) can sometimes resolve issues related to Wi-Fi, power, batter, and other features. It may be necessary to restore normal lower-level system functionality to your Mac especially when you’re facing hardware-related problems.

To reset the SMC:

  1. Shutdown/power off your MacBook.
  2. Press and hold 3 keys: Shift, Control and Option.
  3. Press and hold the power button, without releasing the other 3 keys.
  4. Hold all keys for 10 seconds, then release.
  5. Press the power button on your Mac.

8. Check Third-Party Software

Third-party software may be interfering with your ability to use your Wi-Fi network. The software may not be compatible with macOS Monterey, or you may need to update it. Software that is unneeded should be removed. A couple of places you can check are /Library/Extensions and /Library/DriverExtensions.

With a Finder window open, go to the menu bar at the top of your screen and select Go.
Select Go to Folder. Enter: /Library.
In the Extensions Folder, you should see:

HighPointIOP.kext
HighPointRR.kext
SoftRAID.kext
You may also see AppleMobileDevice.kext. Other, third-party software files may also be in this folder.
For the files you don’t recognize, you should figure out their origin. Try Googling the file name to find the software they are associated with. Check with the developer’s website to see if the software application is compatible with macOS Monterey. If you no longer need the app, you should uninstall it:

Open Finder. Most apps will be in the Applications folder.
If you see a folder associated with the app, look in the folder for an Uninstaller. If you see one, double-click on it and follow the onscreen instructions.
If there is no uninstaller for your app, drag the app to your Trash (on your Dock).

10. Create a New Wi-Fi Configuration

Before deleting or moving files around, its always a good idea to make a backup.

  1. Disable Wi-Fi: Go to the Wi-Fi icon in your menu bar at the top of your screen. Click to open, then click the toggle next to Wi-Fi.
  2. Create a new folder to save some files associated with your Wi-Fi settings. You could call it “Wi-Fi Backup Files”. Save it to your desktop.
  3. With Finder open, Choose Go from the menu bar at the top, then select Go to Folder.
  4. Enter: /Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration/ into the location field.Select the following files:
    NetworkInterfaces.plist
    com.apple.wifi.message-tracer.plist
    com.apple.airport.preferences.plist
    preferences.plist
  5. Move the selected files to the backup folder you created.
  6. Restart your Mac then go to the Wi-Fi icon in your menu bar and re-enable Wi-Fi.

11. Try a Different Wi-Fi Network, or Personal Hotspot

Another option is to try a different wi-fi network entirely, or use Personal Hotspot from an iPhone or cellular iPad. If the Mac works with a different network, or with a personal hotspot, it’s certainly an indicator the issue is with the other wi-fi router, network, or provider, and you’d want to focus troubleshooting efforts on that side of things rather than the Mac.

You can also try using the same wi-fi network with a different device, like another Mac, a PC, iPhone, iPad, Android device, or something else – if those devices are working with the wi-fi network it suggests something is going on with the Mac, whereas if those devices also are not connecting to the internet successfully, it points to an issue with a particular wi-fi network or ISP.

WiFi not working after Monterey update: Problem Fixed!

Hopefully by now you have resolved any Wi-Fi connectivity issue you were facing on your Mac with macOS Monterey.

If none of the above troubleshooting methods worked in your favor, you might want to contact your internet service provider (ISP) to check for any issues on their end. Server-side issues can also prevent you from accessing the internet over Wi-Fi. One of the best ways to check if it’s actually a Wi-Fi specific issue is by using an ethernet cable and establishing a wired connection with any of your other devices.

If you are still experiencing wi-fi connectivity issues on macOS Monterey, contact Apple Support. The following are available Apple support options:

Is your iPhone 13 Pro Max having Bluetooth pairing issues? Will your iPhone 13 Pro Max Bluetooth not even switch on? Here are some suggestions and tricks that you can use to fix your iPhone 13 Pro Max Bluetooth connectivity issues.

If your iPhone 13 Pro Max won’t connect to Bluetooth , there are a number of ways to fix it. You should first make sure Bluetooth is turned on and try connecting your device in the Bluetooth settings. If your iPhone 13 Pro Max still won’t connect to Bluetooth , you can try forgetting the Bluetooth device, updating your iOS software, resetting your network settings, or resetting your iPhone entirely.

Without further delay, here are the step-by-step instructions to fix the problem of iPhone 13 Pro Max not connecting to Bluetooth issue:

Use these steps to fix iPhone 13 Pro Max not connecting to Bluetooth

Let’s deal with the simplest issues first, then move on to more difficult fixes. These fixes applies to iPhone 13, iPhone 13 mini, iPhone 13 Pro, and iPhone 13 Pro Max that won’t connect to Bluetooth.

  • Make sure Bluetooth is turned on and Airplane Mode is turned off on your iPhone 13 Pro Max. You can check this quickly by sliding down the Control Center panel from the top right corner of the screen and checking the buttons along the top.
  • Make sure the Bluetooth device you’re connecting to your iPhone 13 Pro Max (e.g. your Bluetooth headsets, fitness tracker, or whatever else) has enough battery charge and is turned on.
  • Make sure the devices are in range. In general, Bluetooth devices need to be within at least 20 feet of each other to connect well. If your iPhone 13 Pro Max won’t find Bluetooth devices, try bringing both devices closer together.

If none of those help, we can move on to some other troubleshooting tips.

Turn Bluetooth Off and Restart Your iPhone

If you can’t get your iPhone 13 Pro Max paired with your Bluetooth device–or if iPhone isn’t finding Bluetooth devices at all–the old “turn it off and back on again” advice applies, with a bit of a twist thrown in. Restart Bluetooth using the following steps:

  1. Turn off the Bluetooth device you’re trying to pair.
  2. Turn off Bluetooth on your iPhone from Control Center, or by going to Settings > Bluetooth and turning the “Bluetooth” slider off.
  3. Force restart your iPhone 13 Pro Max. To do this, press and quickly release the Volume Up button. Press and quickly release the Volume Down button. Then press and hold the Side button until you see the Apple logo on your screen.
  4. When your iPhone 13 Pro Max has restarted, turn Bluetooth back on.
Turn your Bluetooth device back on and try pairing it with your iPhone 13 Pro Max.
Most of the time, this technique should solve pairing difficulties.

Pair different

If you have more than one iOS device available, even if you have to borrow it from a family member, friend, classmate, or coworker, try using it to connect to your Bluetooth accessory. If it works, the problem is with your iPhone 13 Pro Max and you’ll need to keep on troubleshooting.

If a family member, friend, classmate, or coworker has the same Bluetooth accessory as you, it’s worth checking to see if their’s will work with your iPhone 13 Pro Max as well. If it doesn’t work, the problem might be with your Bluetooth accessory and you should either take it back (if you can exchange it) or contact the manufacturer for assistance (if you can’t exchange it).

If it works, we’re back to troubleshooting your device and you’re back to reading.

Have iPhone Forget Your Bluetooth Device and then Pair It Again

If you’re having trouble with a device that you have paired with successfully in the past, you can try “forgetting” the device and pairing it again from scratch.

  1. Go to Settings and tap “Bluetooth.”
  2. Tap the “i” button next to the device you’re having problems connecting to.
  3. Tap the “Forget This Device” button.
  4. Confirm that you want to forget the device.
  5. And now that your iPhone has forgotten the device, you can try pairing it again.

Update iOS

Apple’s Bluetooth stack—the set of software that controls the radio—isn’t without its occasional quirks. Sometimes brand new versions of iOS introduce compatibility problems and sometimes they fix them. If you’re having Bluetooth connectivity problems on your iPhone 13 Pro Max, however, you’re better off upgrading than not. If it’s already broke, the update is your chance for a fix.

To download and install iOS updates, go to Settings > General > software update. Once you’re done updating, try to connect again. If it works, awesome. If not, move on to the next solution.

Reset Your Network Settings

If you are still experiencing problem of iPhone 13 Pro Max not connecting to Bluetooth, you can also have iOS reset all your network settings. Resetting is a pain in the butt but if something has gone wrong with the way your iPhone 13 Pro Max connects to Bluetooth devices, sometimes the pain can be healing.

Go to Settings > General > Transfer or Reset iPhone > Reset and tap “Reset Network Settings.”

Please note:this will reset all your network settings. All Bluetooth pairings and Wi-Fi networks will be removed, including any VPNs you have set up. You’ll have to reconnect to every Wi-Fi and Bluetooth device you own or use, but once you’re done, see if your accessory starts to work. If it does, it was all worth it. If not, let’s keep going.

Factory reset your iPhone

If you are still experiencing problem of your iPhone 13 Pro Max not connecting to Bluetooth, you may need to perform a rather dramatic step. Perform a full factory reset or restore a backup from iTunes. Obviously, this option requires some preparation and will take a little time. The factory reset option will restore your iPhone to a like-new condition, erasing all your personal settings, apps, and data. Restoring from a backup means you’ll have to have made a backup from which to restore in the first place.

Go to Settings > General > Transfer or Reset iPhone > Erase All Content and Settings.

iPhone 13 Pro Max won’t connect to Bluetooth – may be Hardware issue?

If nothing else here has fixed your iPhone 13 Pro Max Bluetooth issues, your phone may actually have a hardware problem. Contact Apple to discuss repair options. Before doing that, it’s a good idea to check your Apple warranty status online.

Several users have reported that their iPhone 13 is not showing contact name on incoming calls’ and this issue is getting regular as time passes. We all know that the iOS 15 is full of bugs and causing a lot of problems for the users. If your iPhone 13 is not showing contact name for incoming calls, we have a few solutions to help you fix the problem for good!

It’s quite frustrating if your iPhone 13 is not showing contact name on incoming calls, instead only displaying the numbers. Often if you start seeing only contacts numbers rather than names on incoming calls, this can cause some panic for iPhone users as it gives the impression that you have lost all your contacts information and contacts names on the iPhone.

Not to worry, most likely your contacts are not lost at all, they’re still intact and this display issue is either the result of a simple error, bug, or temporary issue, and there’s typically a quick resolution.

In this article, I’ll explain how to fix iPhone 13 not displaying contact names, and/or iPhone 13 not displaying contact name for incoming calls.

The solutions in this article applies to iPhone13, iPhone13 mini, iPhone 13 Pro, and iPhone 13 Pro Max that is not showing contact names for incoming calls.

How to Fix iPhone 13 not displaying contact name for incoming calls

Here are some troubleshooting steps to fix iPhone 13 not showing contact name on incoming calls, and elsewhere where you’d expect to see contacts names rather than just contacts numbers.

1. Restart your iPhone

If you find your iPhone 13 not showing contact name on incoming calls, the first solution to try is to restart the device. This fixes the missing contacts names issue almost every time, and it’s a simple procedure.

You can do this by turning it off and then turning it back on again, or you can perform a force restart. You can restart your iPhone by going to Settings > General > Shut Down. Wait for the iPhone to power down completely before turning it back on again. Below are instructions to force restart the iPhone 12:

  1. Quickly press and release Volume Up
  2. Quickly press and release Volume Down
  3. Press and hold the Side button
  4. Keep holding the Side button until the Apple logo appears on the screen to signify the iPhone has restarted.

2. Check if iCloud Contacts Are Enabled

The next most common reason why you are experiencing the problem of iPhone 13 not showing contact names is that somehow iCloud Contacts has been turned off, but you were previously using it.

Go to Settings > tap your profile at the top of the screen to access Apple ID settings > iCloud > and look under Apps Using iCloud and make sure that “Contacts” is toggled to the ON position to be enabled.

Sometimes users may have accidentally turned this feature off, or sometimes it seems to turn itself off inadvertently after some iOS software updates, or even after crashes or perhaps entirely at random.

If you aren’t using this feature for some reason, then it’s a good idea to use iCloud Contacts because they’re so easy to recover and restore.

3. Change Region, Reboot, Change Region Again

Another approach to fix the problem of iPhone 13 not showing contact name on incoming calls is to change the devices language and region, restart the device, and then change the region/language back to what it should be again. Why this works is unclear, but it is reported to fix the issue for several users:

  1. Start the “Settings” app then go to “General” and tap “Language & Region”
  2. Change the region to something different
  3. Forcibly restart the iPhone:
  4. Quickly press and release Volume Up
  5. Quickly press and release Volume Down
  6. Press and hold the Side button
  7. Keep holding the Side button until the Apple logo appears on the screen to signify the iPhone has restarted
  8. Return to Settings and change Language & Region back to your country/region.

4. Reset your iPhone’s settings.

Believe it or not, bugs in your low-level settings can cause contact name to stop showing on incoming calls altogether. These settings aren’t easy to access, but you can easily fix them by resetting all of your iPhone’s settings. Erasing your settings won’t mess with your data, either — so you don’t have to worry that this quick fix will delete years of photos or messages.

It’s easy to reset your iPhone 13 settings. To do this:

  1. Go to Settings > General > Transfer or Reset iPhone > Reset.
  2. Select Reset All Settings.
  3. Type in your passcode when prompted.
  4. Select Reset All Settings to confirm.
  5. Allow several minutes for the reset and reboot processes to complete.

5. iPhone 13 not showing contact names at all? Time to recover or restore them

If the above tips didn’t work, there are a few options available here.

  • You can restore lost contacts from iCloud if you had previously used iCloud to store contacts before, and that will restore contacts to all devices connected to iCloud.
  • You can restore an iPhone from a recent backup to recover contacts as well, but that should not be necessary unless they have been deleted or removed since that backup was made.
  • If you exported the contacts as a VCF file at some point in time, you can reimport them to the iPhone that way too.

Using a cell phone has become our primary use of communication that it is hard to live without it. Millions have come to depend on their cell phone operating at the peak of their powers. Even as we speak, the way we use our phones is evolving. Apple, a popular cellphone brand, is constantly innovating its features and designs. Here are 5 of the most notable ways this is happening.

1. Cameras Are Giving You Much More Depth

One of the most exciting new AI trends 2021 has to offer has to do with the way you use your phone to take photos. In the old days, cell phone cameras were pretty touch-and-go. In fact, they really weren’t much better than the Polaroid snaps cameras took in the 1970s.

Things are swiftly taking a turn for the better. iPhone cameras are getting smarter, more accurate, and even more virtual than ever before. You can now use your camera to take pics that give you a full map of the landscape around you through a panorama feature. Apple’s most recent models for the iPhone 13 have three lenses allowing you to take super far away and close up photos without having to worry about pictures being out of focus. You can even use them to help you find items you are looking for in a store.

2. Improved iPhone Batteries Yield a Much Longer Life

The battery in your cell phone is an incredibly advanced piece of tech. Even so, there has always been plenty of room for improvement. As 2022 approaches, you should note that cell phone batteries are getting more efficient and reliable than ever before. Apple has announced that their iPhone 13 models will have an improved battery life compared to the iPhone 12, integrating an A15 bionic chip. This means you can expect to enjoy a much longer service life.

3. Deep Machine Learning Will Become More Prevalent

One of the chief ways in which the way you use your phone will change will have to do with deep machine learning. This is because phones are getting smarter all the time. They are being packed with more AI that gives them the ability to learn and respond. This allows them to function in a normal, real-time fashion.

Deep machine learning of this type is making your phone the handiest thing to have around you in the event of an incident. This means that your phone will become ever more indispensable as a means of ensuring your knowledge and your safety.

Apple is taking advantage of deep machine learning with the iPhone 13 by using a 16-core neural engine. This will allow it to complete faster machine learning computations than ever before. This will drastically improve the capabilities of Siri.

4. Your iPhone Will Gain a Modular Design

One of the handiest and overdue changes that your phone may undergo will have to do with the way that it is designed. At the moment, phones do seem to be getting wider rather than slimmer. There is so much info to be uploaded and only so much space to store it all in. As a result, they are outgrowing your pocket.

This is where a new round of phones that feature a 21st-century style of modular design may come to your rescue. The idea behind a modular design is a simple but very effective one. Modular means that all of the info is there in your phone, which can be bent over to fit your pocket. It’s a semi-return to the old flip phone.

5. Phones Can Soon Enter a Virtual Reality

One of the most exciting new developments that your phone can soon undergo is the transition to even more depth and realism. This is due to being able to enter a sort of virtual reality mode. We’re not quite talking about entering a fully-fledged alternate universe just yet. But the picture is getting better.

For example, the later-day cell phone models have been getting more and more realistic. Motion lag and other discrepancies that take us out of the moment are being slowly but surely done away. We are able more than ever to immerse into a new reality that is turning more concrete and less virtual as time goes on.

Apple is currently working on creating its own AR/VR headset, but due to its complex design, it may be years away. It is unclear whether it will be separate from your iPhone, or have its own integrated console, but it will come at a hefty price tag. Apple hopes that it will take not only in the gaming market but also for remote-based work.

Change is a Natural Part of Communication

In and of itself, change is not something that should be feared. You should look at it as a natural part of the way that things evolve. In the case of being able to communicate with the world, this is something you should welcome. The new round of changes is helping you talk to the world more effectively than ever. Over the years, Apple has made many groundbreaking changes that have changed the way we communicate, work, and live our lives. As technology continues to evolve our lives will continue to change, and create a better, and productive society.

Your iPhone 13 or iPhone 13 Pro may not vibrate for incoming calls or messages due to misconfigured settings, software bugs, or hardware problems. Because of these issues, you can unknowingly miss important family and work calls or messages, which is never good.

But don’t worry. Let’s look at some reasons why your iPhone 13 or iPhone 13 Pro might not vibrate, then walk through solutions to fix this issue.

Why is My iPhone 13 Not vibrating?

Your iPhone 13 or iPhone 13 Pro may not be vibrating because of hardware or software problems. If your iPhone hasn’t suffered a hard fall or other physical damage, you can probably rule out hardware failure as the reason for not getting a vibration.

Once you are confident that the hardware is not the cause of the problem, the most likely reasons for your iPhone 13 or iPhone 13 Pro not vibrating are misconfigured settings or temporary glitches. This includes having the phone in Focus mode or airplane mode, silencing unknown callers, and similar.

The steps below will address all these problems. Let’s get started.

Check your settings

Ensure that vibration is enabled on your iPhone. Check the following:

  • iPhone’s includes an accessibility setting that can turn off all vibrations on your device. Go to Settings > Accessibility > Touch > Vibration. And ensure that Vibration is turned on.
  • The second setting to check is the Sounds settings. Go to Settings > Sounds & Haptics and then ensure that “Vibrate on Ring” and “Vibrate on Silent” are turned on. If, for example, your iPhone 13 rings but does not vibrate, this may be the cause.

Confirm Focus Mode Is Disabled

The Focus feature on iPhone disables sound and vibration for call, text, and app notifications. If you’ve accidentally enabled Focus Mode, your iPhone 13 won’t vibrate on incoming calls or messages.

To check this, launch the Control Center and check if the Focus icon is active.

Check hardware

After trying the above solutions, the second step is to check if the phone’s vibration feature is working or not. If it is not working, there is not much you can do. It is highly likely that your phone has hardware issues. Here is how:

  1. Start the Settings app on your iPhone and tap Sounds & Haptics.
  2. Tap Ringtone under the Sounds and Vibration Patterns.
  3. Tap Vibration.
  4. Tap the Synchronized (Default) option or any other option.

Does your iPhone 13 vibrate? If it is vibrating, your problem is software. Try the next steps to fix the issue. If vibration does not work, this is a hardware problem.
If you are having trouble with the vibration because of hardware issues, you have basically two options:

Update iOS

If you are still having this problem, ensure that your iPhone is running the latest version of iOS. You can check this by going to Settings > General > Software Update. And if there is an update, follow the onscreen instructions to update your iPhone.

Restart Your iPhone

Restarting your device is a simple and effective way to fix common issues without much trouble. If your iPhone 13 or iPhone 13 Pro won’t vibrate after trying the above, turn off your iPhone and turn it back on after a minute before moving on. Follow the steps below:

  1. Start by going to Settings > Sounds & Haptics And then turn off both “Vibrate on Ring” and “Vibrate on Silent”.
  2. Next, restart your iPhone by going to settings > General > Shut Down.
  3. Now turn on your iPhone and go back to Settings > Sounds & Haptics and turn on “Vibrate on Ring” and “Vibrate on Silent”.

App notifications?

Are you having vibration problems with one of your apps, such as Messages, Zoom, FaceTime, Skype, Mail, etc? For example, when you get WhatsApp messages, your iPhone 13 or iPhone 13 Pro does not vibrate? Or Does your iPhone 13 or iPhone 13 Pro not vibrate when you have a Facebook notification? If this is the case, you may want to check the app’s settings.

You can adjust your apps’ notification settings to ensure that Vibration is turned on. Here is how:

Head over to Settings > Notifications. Tap an app that is not alerting you by vibrating and then select Sounds > Vibration and ensure that a Vibration style is selected. If the “None” option is selected, your device will not vibrate.
Some third-party apps may offer additional customizations. For example, in the WhatsApp example, ensure that Vibrate in In-App Notifications is enabled. You can check this by going to Settings > Notifications > WhatsApp > WhatsApp Notification Settings > In-App Notifications > and ensure that Vibrate is enabled. You can access this setting within WhatsApp too by going to WhatsApp > Settings > Notifications > In-App Notifications.

Turn Off Silence Unknown Callers

The Silence Unknown Callers feature mutes all incoming calls from people not in your contact list. It also suppresses vibrations for people you have never contacted or received their phone number (via call, text, or email).

So if someone like a distant relative or delivery person calls, your iPhone 13 or iPhone 13 Pro will not vibrate with this setting enabled. To fix this, follow the steps below:

  1. Start the Settings app and go to Phone.
  2. If you see On next to Silence Unknown Callers, tap this field and turn the slider off from the next screen.

Now, your iPhone 13 or iPhone 13 Pro should vibrate for all incoming calls.

Reset All Settings

If your iPhone 13 or iPhone 13 Pro won’t vibrate after trying the above solutions, go to Settings > General > Transfer or Reset iPhone > Reset > Reset All Settings. This will not erase personal data like music, photos, and apps. However, all settings you have changed, like Wi-Fi, the Home Screen layout, notifications, and more, will return to default. It’s a bit of a hassle, but it confirms that no settings are causing your iPhone 13 or iPhone 13 Pro not to vibrate.

How to Fix an iPhone 13 Pro That Won’t Turn On

Try these solutions if your iPhone 13 Pro won’t power on. These fixes also apply to iPhone 13 mini, iPhone 13, and iPhone 13 Pro Max that won’t turn on:

Power on the iPhone

Press and hold the power button at the right side of your iPhone. If the iPhone is powered off, you should see the Apple logo appear after a couple of seconds, which means that the phone is functioning normally.

Perform a force restart

Your iPhone 13 Pro might simply be temporarily frozen and needs a manual reset or “force restart.” Quickly press and release the volume up button, then the volume down button. Finally, press and hold the power button until the Apple logo appears, and then release it.

Try charging your phone

If you are unable to restart your iPhone, then it’s likely that your phone is already powered off, and the battery might be dead. Here’s what you should do:

Attempt to charge your iPhone — connect your iPhone to the power outlet and let it charge for an hour or two.

If the iPhone still won’t come on, there might be something wrong with the way it’s charging. See this article if your iPhone 13 Pro is not charging.

Check your charging port and cable

If the iPhone 13 Pro still doesn’t turn on after 30 minutes connected to power, there might be something wrong with the way it’s charging. Inspect the phone’s Lightning port to make sure it isn’t filled with lint or debris, and inspect your Lightning cable for kinks, breaks, or frays. If necessary, swap the cable for another. Alternatively, try charging your iPhone wirelessly.

Make sure the power button is working

If the power button doesn’t seem to work, plug the iPhone 12 into a power source and see if it turns on automatically. If the phone turns on and has power, then there might be a problem with either the power button or the power button cable. Test the power button and take your iPhone in for repair it if necessary.

Check your display

It’s possible that your iPhone 13 Pro won’t power on because the display is damaged. An easy way to rule this out is to turn the phone on and listen for a sound. Also, you can move the mute toggle switch back and forth to see if it vibrates. If it vibrates or you hear a sound but nothing displays on the screen, then the screen is most likely the problem. Check the next solution.
